St. Peter the Fisherman overlooks the Indian River Lagoon and is home to a wide variety of wildlife. The parish is dedicated to preserving and maintaining the natural beauty while providing a haven for humans to worship God and regenerate and renew, body, mind and spirit. We share our facilities with many community groups and encourage other churches to use our campus to allow their parishioners to enjoy the beauty of the beach.
In 1980 a portion of the garden was consecrated as a cemetery for the ashes of parishioners and their families. Recently, a separate pet memorial garden has been designed in which the ashes of your loving friend may be placed.
St. Peter’s has services in our sanctuary which seats 180. This building also services as a multi-use community area for large functions.
St. Francis Chapel is a small chapel for 30 that is located on the ground floor of the Parish House and is used for smaller groups and children’s services.
Parish House - St Peter’s has a 3 story parish house on site which is used for Sunday school and other educational activities. Overlooking the marsh, with full kitchen facilities, it is a wonderful day or weekend retreat center for small to medium size groups.
Surfer’s Mass - St. Peter’s Sunday evening Eucharist service is located at the Bethune Beach, a public beach at the south end of our island. We do consider this another sanctuary and invite everyone to worship in both places.

If you are holding an event at St. Peter’s, please fill out our facilities request form at least 2 weeks prior to your event to request services from our facilities management team (set-up, supplies, etc .)
