Second Annual Chili Cook-off - Saturday, February 4th at 3:00 p.m. - Do you make a wonderful pot of chili? Or, are you known for some scrumptious dessert that you make? Why not sign up in the back of church for our Second Annual Chili Cook-off? This year we're including a dessert auction, led by auctioneer Bill Withers. Admission will be a canned good or two and all proceeds will go to Gifts of Love, a local charity that provides food for those who need it. Please make plans to join us for this fun event.

"Three Days of Justice, Love & Art" will take place at the Gladdening Light Symposium 2012 in the Winter Park Civic Center from February 3rd to the 5th. Here, artists will support the vision of the Symposium's featured speaker, John Dominic Crossan, summarized on the Symposium's website as "God's longing for a just and loving community representative of all, each exhibiting and speaking about their own creative aspirations struggling for transformation beyond societies that marginalize the disenfranchised." A complete Schedule of Events, profiles of each of the artists and online registration are available at http://www.gladdeninglight.org/event/gladdeninglight-symposium-2012. St. Peter's is a co-sponsor of the Symposium and hopes you'll make the short commute to participate in this inspirational gathering.

UTO - United Thank Offering - The United Thank Offering has, for many years, been an expression of daily thanksgiving for "..all the blessings of this life..." traditionally by collecting coins in a little Blue Box. Churchwide collections twice a year pool the monies for grants to support  diocesan approved mission endeavors throughout the world. In 2007 our own St. Peter's received seed money for our outreach program, Lydia's Mission. We have this opportunity to join an ever expanding circle of grateful people by giving through UTO. So, if you use a Blue Box (available in the narthex) or simply, prayerfully write a check (c/o St. Peter's noted UTO) know that every cent offered goes directly to missions.
