St.
Peter the Fisherman Episcopal Church warmly welcomes the Reverend James S. Spencer and his family. Father Jim has accepted the call as rector.
Jim, his wife Sally and 18 year old son Ian will be coming to us from St.
Simon’s on the Sound in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Jim and Sally will be
moving to New Smyrna Beach, and Ian will be attending the University of
Central Florida.
The
Spencer family comes to us after being in Fort Walton Beach for 5 years.
They had been at All Saints, Winter Park previously as Jim was the
associate rector.
Jim
graduated from Davis-Elkins College with a B.S. in psychology. Then he
attended Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary where he received a MATS in
pastoral counseling. He then received his M-DIV from Princeton
Theological Seminary. Jim has been involved heavily with youth and family
ministry, pastoral care, as well as all aspects of the priestly ministry.
His hobbies are surfing, running, and scuba diving, but especially his
family. He is full of energy and excited about making his home in central
Florida again.
Your new family at St. Peter the Fisherman welcomes you. |
