There are many ways you can participate! Volunteers provide support in six general areas of activity: Worship, Outreach, Fellowship, Pastoral Care, Administration and Education. The church is sustained by contributions from congregants and friends. You can help by putting cash or checks (payable to St. Peter the Fisherman) in the offering basket during a service, or donations can be mailed to St. Peter the Fisherman, 4220 Saxon Drive, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169. If you would like your gift to be used for a specific purpose or if it is a memorial gift in honor of a deceased loved one, indicate it on the Memo line of your check. Contact the church office at (386) 428-7383 for information on procedures for donating stock and/or securities, and other methods of making donations. Gifts to St. Peter the Fisherman are tax-deductible.

What time are services at St. Peter’s? Sundays at 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM at St. Peter’s and 6:30 PM on Bethune Beach and Wednesdays at 10:00 AM at church.
Can I have my wedding at St. Peter’s? If you are a member or actively involved at St. Peter’s we would love for you to have your wedding in the church, if the schedule permits.
Do you have Sunday School and/or a nursery? Yes, we have Sunday School for elementary-aged children and it is held in our Parish House. There is a nursery in the Sanctuary specifically for children under the age of 5.
How can I become a member of St. Peter’s? Please contact the church office if you would like to become a member. If you have been confirmed and have attended another Episcopal Church, we can easily have your membership transferred.
Where is St. Peter’s located? The church is located at 4220 Saxon Drive. Drive over the South Causeway bridge on SR-44 then turn right onto Saxon Drive (CVS is on the corner), come down 2.44 miles and the church is on the right-hand side of the road. For your convenience, an additional parking lot is across the street if needed.
When and where are beach services held? The beach service is held on Bethune Beach. To get to the service, drive down Atlantic Avenue heading toward the National Seashore. Mary McLeod Bethune Beach is located at 6656 S. Atlantic Avenue, New Smyrna Beach. Park anywhere you can find a spot. Walk down to the main entrance of the beach and you will see the gathering. You may want to bring a chair or something to sit on.
What do I wear? What you wear doesn’t matter. We are a “beach church” and we want you to be comfortable. Most dress casually.
What denomination is St. Peter’s? St. Peter the Fisherman is an Episcopal Church. We are part of the American branch of the Anglican Communion. We are Protestant, with a strong Catholic tradition. Since the Anglican Church split from Rome during the reign of Henry VIII in 1534 it has sought a “via media” (middle way) and emphasizes agreement with other denominations rather than differences.
